The full moon is always there. It does not disappear when you cannot see it. It retreats, turns its lit face away, and lets only a crescent remain to keep its place in the sky. The silver-plated arch and the rose quartz sphere sit together in exactly that way: the sphere, fully present, fully itself, quietly holding everything the crescent promises.
At rest, it is the moon behind the moon, the whole that the arc is always turning toward.
